What Is Home Care?

Home care is professional nursing and medical care, or support services that are delivered in a client’s home. These services are designed to improve the client’s quality of life and allow them to remain in their preferred home setting for as long as possible.

As the name suggests, home care is assistance that occurs in a client’s home or residence. Home health care generally happens in the home but it can occur at assisted living facilities or in rehabilitation facilities if people need more assistance than these settings typically provide.
